Wilene Dennis Dozier, J.D. is a native of Jacksonville, FL. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Florida State University with a minor in Accounting; she thought she could help her Dad who owned a dry cleaning business.  She received a Masters in Library Science from Atlanta University.  Atlanta University at that time was one of the few library schools where aspiring African American librarians could matriculate.  She received her Juris Doctorate from Texas Southern University at the Thurgood Marshall School of Law.

My interest in technology began over 20 years ago when my family’s child care center opened a computer camp for children whose hearing was impaired.  I selected the computers and the software and sometimes repaired them.  Since that time, I have always used computers and tried to keep up with the next evolution of technology.  The pandemic uncovered the lack of computer knowledge in many communities, but particularly the African American community.  I set out on a quest to bring this community’s great historical treasures to the internet so that the next generation can access previous accomplishments.
